Teekkarikuoro from Tampere and Kipinät from Jyväskylä bring sparkle to Christmas!
The two choirs will perform in Tampere Cathedral on Saturday December 2 at 7 pm. The concert offers a unique Christmas experience that will enchant listeners with its sound and take you to the heart of the Christmas spirit guided by rhythmic choir arrangements. The mixed choirs will sing both beloved classics and newer Christmas gems separately and together. The choirs can also be heard in Taulumäki Church in Jyväskylä on Saturday December 9 at 2 pm.
Kipinät is a choir from Jyväskylä that focuses on pop and jazz music and choral improvisation, led by its founder, pop/jazz singing teacher and award-winning choir director Kaisa Halmemies. The choir consists of about 45 musicians and active music enthusiasts. Kipinät is a boundary-breaking rhythm music pioneer in the traditional choir world celebrating its 5th anniversary. It is known for its luminous performance, fresh sound and tight groove.
Admission to the concert is free. There is an optional fee of 25/15 € for the program. Tickets can be bought in advance from choir members and TREY Service Offices, and your ticket will be exchanged for the program at the door. You can also purchase the program by card or cash at the entrance.
